The medicine ball lying leg raise is a core-strengthening exercise that targets the lower abdominals. By holding a medicine ball between the feet, the exercise increases resistance and enhances muscle activation in the core, lower back, and hip flexors.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with your arms at your sides for support.
  2. Hold a medicine ball securely between your feet.
  3. Engage your core and lift your legs vertically until they are perpendicular to the floor.
  4. Slowly lower your legs back to the starting position without touching the ground.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, maintaining control throughout.
