Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The Lying Side Quadriceps Stretch focuses on lengthening the quadriceps muscles. It is performed while lying on the side, providing a gentle stretch to relieve tension in the front thigh. This stretch improves flexibility, particularly in the hip flexors and quadriceps, and can aid in muscle recovery.
How to do it
- Lie on your side with legs straight and head resting on lower arm.
- Bend the top knee and reach back with the top arm to grasp the ankle.
- Gently pull the ankle towards your glutes until you feel a stretch.
- Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, maintaining a straight lower leg.
- Repeat on the other side to ensure balance.
