The kneeling back leg lift is an effective bodyweight exercise targeting the gluteal muscles and hamstrings. It improves balance and core stability while also engaging the lower back muscles. This movement is excellent for enhancing lower body strength and flexibility.
How to do it
- Start on all fours with hands under shoulders and knees under hips.
- Keep your back straight and core engaged.
- Lift one leg behind you, keeping it straight and aligned with your back.
- Raise the leg until it is parallel to the floor, squeezing your glutes.
- Lower the leg back to the starting position and repeat.
