The dumbbell walking lunge is an effective lower body exercise that targets the quadriceps and glutes while also improving balance and core stability. It involves taking steps forward into a lunge position while holding dumbbells at the sides, engaging multiple muscle groups.
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand.
- Step forward with one leg, lowering your hips until both knees are at about 90 degrees.
- Push through the front heel to bring the back leg forward into the next lunge.
- Maintain an upright torso and engage your core throughout the movement.
- Continue alternating legs for the desired number of repetitions.
