The dumbbell low split squat is a lower body exercise that targets the quadriceps, gluteus maximus, and hamstrings. It improves leg strength, balance, and coordination by allowing each leg to work independently.
How to do it
- Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding dumbbells at your sides.
- Take a step forward with your right foot and lower into a lunge, keeping the front knee above the ankle.
- Lower your back knee toward the ground without touching it.
- Push through the front heel to return to the starting position.
- Repeat on the other leg.
