The Dumbbell Cossack Squat is a unilateral lower body exercise that enhances flexibility, balance, and strength. It targets the inner thigh muscles while also improving mobility in the hips. Holding a dumbbell adds resistance, increasing the work on stabilizing muscles.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wider than shoulder-width, holding a dumbbell at chest level.
- Shift weight onto one leg, bending that knee while keeping the other leg straight.
- Lower your hips toward the ground while keeping the chest upright.
- Pause at the bottom, then push through the heel to return to the start.
- Switch sides and repeat for desired reps.
