The Cossack squat is a lateral moving squat that stretches and strengthens the lower body. It enhances flexibility in the adductors and improves balance.
How to do it
- Stand with feet wide apart, toes slightly pointed out.
- Shift your weight onto one leg and bend that knee while keeping the other leg straight.
- Lower your hips towards the ground while keeping your chest upright.
- Stretch the straight leg fully and keep your heel on the ground.
- Push through the bent leg to return to the starting position.
