The Cable Y Raise is an exercise that targets the shoulders and upper back, enhancing stability and shoulder mobility. It's particularly effective for strengthening the deltoid muscles and improving posture.
How to do it
- Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, facing the cable machine.
- Hold the cables with a neutral grip at hip level.
- With a slight bend in the elbows, raise the cables upward and outward to form a 'Y' shape.
- Pause at the top, then slowly lower the cables back to the starting position.
