The Bodyweight Wood Chop Squat combines a squat with a rotational wood chop movement. This exercise enhances core strength, stability, and coordination while engaging the lower and upper body. It's particularly effective for developing rotational power and improving balance.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and clasp your hands together.
- Lower into a squat, bringing your arms down to one side.
- Push through your heels to stand up while swinging your arms diagonally across your body.
- Rotate your torso and pivot your feet as your arms reach the opposite side.
- Return to the starting position and repeat on the other side.
