The Barbell Standing Wide-Grip Curl is a bicep-strengthening exercise emphasizing the outer part of the biceps. It involves holding a barbell with a wider grip than shoulder-width and curling it upwards. This variation targets the Brachialis muscle, adding variety to upper arm workouts.
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, grasp the barbell with a wide grip.
- Keep elbows close to your body and back straight.
- Curl the barbell upwards towards your chest, keeping your wrists straight.
- Pause at the top, then slowly lower the barbell back to the starting position.
- Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
