The Banded Glute Ham Raise is an exercise that strengthens the posterior chain muscles, particularly the hamstrings and glutes. It involves using a resistance band for added tension, enhancing muscle activation. This exercise can improve athletic performance and stability by targeting muscle groups crucial for lower body power.

How to do it

  1. Secure a resistance band to a stable anchor and the Glute-Ham Developer machine.
  2. Position your body on the machine, hooking your heels under the foot pads.
  3. Lower your torso forward, maintaining control, until nearly parallel to the floor.
  4. Engage your hamstrings and glutes to raise your torso back to the starting position.
  5. Maintain a straight line from your head to knees throughout the movement.
