Gym Exercise Card
Equipment
The Smith Hex Press is an upper body exercise targeting the chest. It involves pressing a barbell using a narrow grip, supported by the stability of a Smith Machine. This exercise emphasizes the inner chest and triceps, providing focused muscular engagement and reducing strain on the shoulders compared to wider grip pressing movements.
How to do it
- Lie on a bench under the Smith Machine with feet flat.
- Grip the bar with a narrow, palms-facing grip over your chest.
- Unrack the bar and lower it to your chest while keeping elbows close.
- Press the bar back up to the start position, extending the elbows fully.
- Repeat for desired repetitions, maintaining control throughout.
