The Pigeon Hip Stretch is a yoga pose that helps to open the hips and stretch the hip flexors and gluteus muscles. It's effective for increasing flexibility and relieving tension, especially for those who sit for long periods.

How to do it

  1. Start in a plank position with hands under shoulders.
  2. Bring right knee forward, placing it near right wrist.
  3. Extend left leg straight back, keeping hips square to the floor.
  4. Lower upper body over right leg, stretching arms forward.
  5. Hold for several breaths, then switch sides.
