The dumbbell side lunge is a lower body exercise that targets the quadriceps, glutes, and adductors. It helps improve balance, coordination, and lateral strength. This movement is performed by stepping to the side while holding a dumbbell, engaging the core, and maintaining an upright torso.

How to do it

  1. Stand upright, feet together, holding a dumbbell close to your chest.
  2. Step to the side with your right leg, bending your knee and pushing your hips back.
  3. Keep your left leg straight while maintaining an upright torso.
  4. Push through your right foot to return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat on the opposite side.
