The cable standing row is an exercise designed to develop upper body strength, focusing on the back muscles. It involves pulling a cable attachment towards the torso and is effective for improving posture and engaging the core.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a cable machine with feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Grasp the cable handle with both hands, arms extended.
  3. Pull the handle towards your torso, keeping elbows close to your body.
  4. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the end of the movement.
  5. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.
