Cable Hip Abduction is an exercise that targets the muscles of the hip, particularly useful for strengthening and stabilizing the hip joint. It involves moving the leg away from the body's midline using a cable machine, enhancing hip abductor strength and improving balance.
How to do it
- Attach an ankle strap to the low pulley of a cable machine.
- Stand next to the cable machine with the strap around your ankle.
- Keep your core engaged and your posture upright.
- Slowly abduct your leg away from your body, keeping it straight.
- Return to the starting position in a controlled manner and repeat.
